Too nice a day to sit in ChCh so headed out to explore some of the tracks we passed by last weekend. Up to scotts saddle on the Mt Hutt Rd (where I was just in time to see the peak to pub race go past, Katie was most surprised to see me...hope I didnt put her off her game).

Ran down into pudding hill stream and then back out to the car park. I guess I should have expected a rough run down the river given all the snow melt but it was a bit extreme. Turned into more canyoning than running and I went for two short but lovely swims. A fantastic run though and a beautiful spot so close to home. Good avalanche peak training.
