Trying out Naomis ski (swordfish). Paddled with Matt from the beach into the Haven. A bit less stable than the V10S for sure but still ok.

Only fell in once near the end when we were chatting. Spent a long time trying to remount and eventually managed it! I was slowly improving my technique despite getting more and more tired so didn't panic too much as I was fairly convinced I'd be able to get on eventually. Luckily succeeded just before the rescue ski came out to get me. Not sure what Brent was going to be able to do to assist though.

Very warm afternoon and nice fish and chips in the sun after.

Trying out a surf ski (matts v10s). Not as tippy as I thought it would be and had to make myself fall out in the end. Struggled to remount. Getting more of the hang of keeping stable by the end and could feel Id pretty quickly be able to paddle properly. Quite keen to get a boat and get better.

Hardest thing is carrying boat around.

Thanks to Megan, Brent and Pat for helping me and not abandoning me in the ocean.

Decided to climb mt Richmond from home and back again. It turns out it is quite far away. Rode up to coppermine saddle and walked from there. Lost the track coming back down in the dark and had a lot of pain and suffering from dark until home. Really cool ridgeline though and just out the back door ;0

Highlight - Discovering new country to explore all summer.

Lowlight - sheltering in the toilet at coppermine saddle at midnight.

Garmin died but was back by 1am.
