Up Mt Herbert from little river. Some good track along the top. Was feeling very crap and slow on the way up but 920m climb means 920m of sweet descent!! Definately no twilight series for me tonight. Time is a complete estimate

From Bealy and then up the Poulter Valley (new mtb track). Easy sealed/gravel road to start of Poulter. Turned up valley and wind hit, so the ride up the track was shit and we didnt go that far in the end, want to come back some time and go further.

Evening run up Bealy Spur to top hut and back really just cruising. Awesome run. Views and track great.

Ran short red from junior camp.
1st time went reasonably hard, good clean run 24:50

2nd time did it completely from memory, the whole way. Focusing on what my attack point had been, route choice, exit direction etc and keeping a nice easy constant pace with some serious control flow going on. 22:38

Great training,very focused on how I was orienteering.

Over to haswell, crocodile, kenedies bush and down old dyers. Weird to be on the mtb again after quite awhile off.

Took a harmless but dramatic fall on crocodile involving a lot of tussok eating, 2 walkers just strode past me looking as if I was getting out of their way in a deranged fashion.

Absolutely smashing evening for a run. From Vic park down into bowenvale (felt weird to start with a downhill) Then up the killer climb up the valley, usually have a walk up the top but was stoked to run the whole way, then through dyers and up to flying nun, and down to vic park again. Not feeling that good, real slow.

First good training in about 2 weeks, being sick has really stuffed up my waitangi prep. Back into it properly now hopefully.
