Decided the best way to deal with this cold was to smash it out with some orienteering right ftom the start and get it over with. No point letting it linger until Saturday. Will see how my totally unscientific approach goes tomorrow

Cruising round to Greig and Clares to drop off ice axes. Forgot stove.

Was all I could manage today. Feeling very tired when I got home. Had to lie down for a bit.

Food poisoning seems to have done wonders for my American weight-loss diet.

Cruising round Albert town mtb loop with Alex and Angus. Feeling good after yesterday.

Rogaine 12:03:00 [3]

Cairnmuir rogaine with Angus. Wasn't sure how this would go not really knowing Angus at all and having to do all the nav. Went ok though. My route was a touch ambitious and hence inefficient. Should have dropped the loop at the start in favour of big points at the end so ended up with a score a couple of hundred short of where we should have been (for distance and climb covered).

I was having another great day. It all felt easy for 12hrs but I never really pushed hard. Ate well but still carried too much food.

Angus did good. Quite a bit slower than I wanted to go but he always just went his own pace so didnt break. Seemed fine at the end though so maybe I should have pushed him a bit harder. I tried to get the pace moving a bit sometimes but he never seemed super keen to try and keep up.

Unfortunately got beaten by Nathan and tied on points with Ian.

Gps rekons 54 kilometers and 3500 climb. I would have said longer and lesd climb.

This all felt very chaotic tonight. Maybe running too quick for my navigation? Generally pretty terrible especially at the start when I got stuck bashing round in the bush for ages and then never even found the control.

So pathetic and weak. My poor little stick arms can barely even hold the paddle up for an hour. Hit the wall badly riding home tonight. More food needed. Hungry all the time.

Approximately 30min of stairs waiting for glenn then maybe an hour over mt vernon and down rapaki with glenn and angus.

Worsleys spur loop. Again tried to run with chris most of the way up. Included an extra loop and a few run backs to meet thw others. Good run and goos hggGol cIccocktb . GHmvgm. Slm.

This run got away from me a bit! Up bowenvale then along the top to mt vernon. Down the valley track then the middle traverse of the spur of death and huntsbury. Felt like I had a tail wind pushing me up all the hills tonight.

Home via chris and ems to pick up my book that they have been holding ransom since the weekend.
