Sprint training around Tonadico.

Afternoon training on a map up towards the middle terrain. Apparently very similar rock detail etc to the race maps. Got a little distracted on this training wasnt focusing that well.

Again took it pretty easy around another map from our accommodation (I wish we had a set up like this in NZ!). Crazy terrain today with all the rocks being sunken into the ground, big rocky pits and trenches aswell. Reminded me a bit of canaan downs.

Walking on the map from our accomodation in Asiago. Awesome terrain, rocky but really fast underfoot. Was a bit unnerving appearing from the forest in the middle of a WW2 cemetary. Feeling jetlagged as to be expected

Good training on Mt Vernon with Tane. Perfect terrain running training if not so useful for orienteering. Was feeling good on the hills, but a bit tired at the end.

6x4min intervals at the park with 2min jogging recoveries. Feeling pretty strong at the moment and the pain in my heel which has been nagging me for some time appears to have gone.

A though race, lots of nasty short hills to run up. Enjoyed this race much more as i was running comfortably the whole way (prehaps a little too comfortably). Need to figure out the point where im not pushing too hard but not going too easy.

Late late late ride to wed night run. Was late to begin with and then rode up the wrong road. (i knew there werent that many houses up worsleys spur!) Arrived at the grand time of 6:45 ! Ended up just going for a wee run up the track alone then back home.

Mass start. A tough course, struggled a bit physcally at the start. Lost the leaders in the bush on the first long leg. Needed to be more agressive/confident in this race.
