Have been so caught up in training for Godzone that I haven't thought much about the rogaine this weekend. Packing 24hrs of food last night certainly made me think about it though! Should be fun and suitably horrible. Its sad they are making us carry so much gear. Heavy packs suck, but good training I guess

Hopefully I'm not too tired from training to race well. Lara wants to go "90%" to not break ourselves too much. I'm not sure how you go 90% for 24hrs.

Tried out monghetti intervals in a kayak. Doubled each time from running. Seemed good as the shorter intervals later meant i could focus on technique. Went early to avoid sun. Rowers everywhere!

Out to Sumner via the summit road and back through Ferrymead. Was very windy up on the tops. Bit scary.

Went fairly hard up the hill and seemed to be going fast enough. Will have to take a watch next time to see how long it takes.

Feeling much better today and riding really well. Nice after struggle street yesterday. I think my endurance is good and maybe some of the others were more tired.

A full traverse of the Hawkdun Range from the Ewe Range to Ida Railway hut with the SWG and C+E and M+L.

Got broken by the stupidly fast pace up the hill at the start so struggled a bit all day. Probably need to do some fast riding before Godzone. This is probably the last big mission.

Time a guess, we were out all day but a lot of bike pushing and relaxing.

Struggling to keep up at the moment. Slowly slipping into extreme disorder. Need a weekend day at home or a day off work.

Up the hill to the rogaine. Harder work than I remember. Must do more biking.

Rogaine no friends. Stupidly took no water or food on bike or during rogaine. Died big time after 90min.

Good fun race and great to use a different area from normal sugerloaf :) good fun bashing around. Unfortunately a few mysterious controls.

I decided to take the adventure route choice because Im a bit bored of Bowenvale valley. Will be interesting to see if it was a good choice. I dont think it was the most sensible points wise but was definitely the most fun.
