Orienteering 1:30:00 [3]

BFLO Long.

Fast fast terrain. Had trouble staying focussed and made way too many mistakes... But I finished the race and given that 8 days ago I was using crutches to get around I'll take it.

Good races today by Ross, zhyk and schirm as well as Sam and Emily the Awesome.

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Bflo middle and warmup. Surprised the knee was ok.

Started out fast but then slowed down and took it easy.

Thanks BFLO.

Cycling 10:00 [3]

easy cycling. Knee still very sore and weekend looks doubtful.

Top 3 reasons why Hamilton won't see the return of their Hamilton Tigers NHL team (in today's Spec):

* Reason # 3. Ottawa has an NHL team and we don't. Yet we're a bigger city. It's true we have a CFL team, and Ottawa doesn't have its Roughriders anymore. But, in the past few years, the Roughriders, who don't exist, have done almost as well as the Ticats, who supposedly do. Ergo, Ottawa doesn't need a team. We do.

* Reason #2. Hamilton can already put together enough talent to easily beat the Toronto Maple Leafs, without having to go beyond the girls ringette league.

* And Reason #1. If Hamilton gets an NHL team and it wins the Stanley Cup and the fans go rampaging through the streets, destroying the downtown core, well, it's Hamilton -- total damage will be under $90.
