COC Middle (M-Elite)
Ugh. Started out too fast (1 second behind best time to #1) and then that coupled with the uneven ground took its toll on the knee and it was hurting by the time I got to #2. Walked part of #4-5 then missed it (lacked focus). Struggled to be able to run in the open and then made a mega error to lucky #13. Could not relocate in the woods/jungle as the tall grass and stuff made it all look the same. A whopping 5 minute error. I ended with a decent few CP's. Time to embrace my birthday and the over 8km less in running that comes with it tomorrow. M45 debut time!

Note

Oh how the race performance decline continues.... Once I was the top orienteer on the continent...then the top in just in the country...then just in s. Ontario... then just in my club...and after today I'm not even the top orienteer in my own research lab with Gustaf taking silver in the COC middle. :-)

Soon I won't be the top orienteer in my family either. Or perhaps AG! is already better than me. #oldage

marathon core during marathon tv coverage. Three Canadians in top 27! Woohoo.

How lame for TSN to stop coverage before the Canadians finished!
