Flat, vague, heavy going with quite alot of unavoidable marsh & tussock.
Earlyish mistake hitting a path between 2 & 3 that wasn't as indistinct as mapped, & ended up crossing a tussocky marsh I wouldn't have needed to, and then coming out of 14, was heading the right way, but then a junior asked where we were and I got distracted. Wondered why I was heading in the direction I was, when cleaqrly 16 was further to the right. Fortunately didn't go too far before I realised, just took me a while to get back on track.
6 minutes lost altogether :o(
Glad I did, snuck in in front of Fiona by 16 seconds to take 4th place on W35, but 3rd British W35 (Anne Straube doesn't count), so I got a BOF Buff & a medal. Was feeling undeserving - wasn't a medal-deserving run, but as Helen said on the podium, she's not the best W35 in the country, but you can only run & win within the rules.
