Orienteering race 20:40 [3] 2.7 km (7:39 / km) +85m 6:37 / km
shoes: Montrail Highlanders

Relay

Our team were defending champions but not the favourites. :) We had a solid team. We sent out Nico to start us off, he had a good run and came in 4th ... i think :)

Paul went next and had great run getting us the lead.

I was quite nervous and wasnt really running too well after yesterdays LONG, My nav wasnt too good and I made 2 mistakes worth about a minute. On the way to the common control for the third time I saw Nic catching me up and I was pretty worried. I punched the common about 50m ahead and carried on watching him just incase he was finishing as well, luckily he wasnt, I didnt see any other major fast runners out and coasted into the finish.

It was the only Medal for the Lund family the whole weekend :)

Orienteering race (SA Champs) 1:42:26 [4] *** 11.2 km (9:09 / km) +420m 7:42 / km
spiked:18/25c shoes: Montrail Highlanders

SA Champs Long

I took along some super c's and some chewing gum so I could concentrate :)

I started off slower and took much safer routes so probably lost some time doing that but at least I never made stupid nav errors. I Made attackpoints for each control and tried to run hard to them and then slow down, I also ran hard for the long legs and for the downhill legs at the end I ran hard down the hills. I Lost like 3 minutes to mistakes which was much better than the day before.

Orienteering race 42:26 [3] *** 4.8 km (8:50 / km) +190m 7:23 / km
spiked:9/15c shoes: Montrail Highlanders

SA champs middle distance

I had a shocker of a start. After two controls dylan had caught me from 3 minutes behind. I made so many mistakes in the circle and my fine navigation was not good. It was so tough running in the bracken, I think that tired me out.... a lot.

I had almost five minutes of mistakes which was quite bad.
