Orienteering (Sprint) 29:00 [3] 2.56 km (11:20 / km)

Sprint at West Point. I didn't exactly sprint it....
Overshot control 3 but saw control 7, so I guess it was somewhat useful :-).
Then decided to skip the trail to 9 and instead climb over two giant uncrossable cliffs...and then overshoot it and get caught by the river! Yikes.
Also got stuck in a long spiral of staircases instead of running through the parking lot.
Beautiful day, beautiful views, great map and course, but I honestly did an atrocious job of focusing, making decisions, keeping the 1:5000 scale in mind, and pretty much orienteering in general.
There are more seconds on the time, but I can't remember them.

I think the time is about right.
Middle at West Point. It was a much cleaner run than the sprint! I was fairly slow at running on the hills and rocks and I lost some time hesitating, but at the same time I felt more focused and made fewer random, irrational mistakes.
My biggest error was on #6...I had to relocate by using the relative position of the cliffs along the road, but it took a little while.
Legs 1 and 9 especially had a lot of different possible routes, and it was fun to compare them afterwards with other people.
...and I liked sprinting down the ski slope :-). It felt fast. I kind of wanted to climb the hill again and roll down it, but I was a little afraid of getting spiked.
