Running 2:45 [4] 0.42 mi (6:33 / mi)
shoes: Nike Air Max Moto+ 6

Short sprint from Lusk to the lots. I wanted to start closer to the barracks, but my Garmin didn't load very quickly while I was walking up.

Running 55:25 [4] 8.16 mi (6:47 / mi)
shoes: Nike Air Max Moto+ 6

Another run back from Camp Natural bridge to the barracks; going through Buckner and taking the road are apparently approximately the same distance. Ran fast because I thought I was short on time, then slowed down briefly when I caught up with a couple friends who had been several minutes ahead of me, talked for a few minutes and sped up to run back in.

Trail Running 53:12 [3] *** 3.24 mi (16:25 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 875

Running between Buckner and Round Pond; can't really call it trail running since we weren't allowed to use trails, but I tried to hit all the points in the large loop.

First run on new trail shoes--I was definitely not impressed on this loop (low lateral stability), but I realized they could've been tighter. I tightened them up for the second loop and they performed much better.

Trail Running 13:48 [3] *** 0.92 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 875

More orienteering practice--ran short loop until it was time to come in, then ran along trail.

Day 16, 4.16 mi, tot. 108.5 mi

Tomorrow: Orienteering practice

Pushups/Situps 19:00 [5]

Intense ab workout ran by Ariel Espinoza, a yuk who was a founding member of the Spartan Washboard Abs Club. Doing planks was the "rest".

Monday Oct 5, 2009 #
