Cyclo-Cross Bike42:00 [3] 12.0 mi (3:30 / mi) +300m3:15 / mi
Morning spin around the lake on my new 'cross bike - Forced myself out today. Need to step up a gear over the next few weeks prior to 3 Peaks and Fairfield. Steady away morning sessions will hopefully help this...The easy week prior to non-event that is Edale Skyline will have given me a time to rest a little, which I think I needed.

Yet another abandoned 'cross route... - ..but I suppose I could have shouldered it, but I couldn't be bothered. Started the climb up to Wescoe and encountered big drifts, so I came back and entered THE POWER HOUSE....

Turbo session in the POWER HOUSE - Short session to make up for what I missed on the ride that I cut short: 10x30 secs (30 off) max efforts in big ring, top resistance. World CX on the laptop. Still not long enough to see who won.

A 'Nick Ogden' production: Who's the quickest from the Salutation Inn, Threlkeld around Glendaterra to Latrigg and back to the Start. Chose of bike or running shoes; I chose bike. Hard going higher up with snow and ice on much of the higher track. Proper muddy as well. Good fun. Bikers won.

Nice and steady ride. No heroics on the hills. Just wanted a little spin. Under strict instruction not to beast myself this week prior to the Edale Skyline. No 'PR's 'KOM's or whatever.
