UTS Lindfield. Lots of bush, which was a surprise and was wearing runners due to the L achilles niggle, so a bit slippery. Lost a minute on 5 (should have gone top side of the cliff line, not below). Then the major mistake. Went from 13 to 16, which was on the line to 16. Kept following around until I went 15 - 14, then realised the order was wrong, so went back -15, 16. Certainly over a minute lost there (actually 2).
Post Mortem: Skipped a control, again. That makes 4 mps in a little over a year, after none in the previous 20, and two in eight days. Quite a similar circumstance - disconbobulated by the appearance of Nick Dent at no. 8 - I was thinking to myself why is Nick here since I passed him running the wrong way on the way to 1? In fact Nick had probably re-passed me when I was looking for 5, so it wasn't that surprising. And in any case I should have ignored him and read the map.
Crumbs of comfort? Leading after 2 controls, second behind Tom Quayle after 4.

Wahroonga, Lovers Jump. First long run for two weeks, so slower than usual. Cold almost gone, but a little restriction still. Ran OK and got a reasonable route, but lost 2 minutes at 29 because I was looking at my feet rather than to the side where the control was stuck under the cliff. That cost me 20 points as I was 1:40 over time.
Warwick's upcoming trip to Antarctica means I have wrapped up the Summer Series age category as he needed 7 wins from the remaining 7 races. Even then I think I would have won on countback.
Niggles - L knee and achilles cleared up, R achilles a little sore after.
