Teering race (Big Foot Sprints) 11:51 [5] *** 2.7 km (4:23 / km)
spiked:11/11c shoes: ASICS DS Trainer

Sydney Olympic Park. Sprint 1 (Okm 2.3). Ran well, especially early. Couldn't go with Ezy when he passed me after no. 3, didn't see him after 4. Faded a bit on the long leg back to 8. Knee held up very well.

Teering race (Big Foot Sprints) 11:55 [5] *** 2.7 km (4:25 / km)

Sydney Olympic Park. 9th in Sprint Final (Okm 2.2). Started 2 seconds behind Glenn Horrocks and got in front when he missed no. 1. The gap to Colm though was far too big - 28 seconds and going away as he sprinted to catch the leaders (he was 4th). I never saw him during the race. So, now I was leading a group of 4 with Matthew Hill (+5) and Mark Shingler (+12) gaining. A little route choice error on #4 let Matthew through and Glen got back past on the long road run to #5. Still in touch with these guys at #11, but as the course opened up my lack of training in the last 6 weeks started to tell. First mistake for the day was at #15, where I mistakenly thought some bushes were garden bed and started to run around: it was just green stripe and Mark darted through. So just behind Mark at #16 and decided to go the opposite way to him for #17 - he chose left, I went right. Left was quicker, so no chance of a sprint finish, just jogged in.

Wollestonecraft. Pushing Aoife in the pram. Pretty steep and tricky. Went to the beach after and dammed the river.

From Work. Very unfit. Both knees a little bit dodgy. Slowest pace for this run; arguably I'm back to the post-Easter fitness level i.e. nowhere.
