NSW Middle at Kahli's Rocks. A great little area and excellent course. I wasn't supposed to run hard, if at all, so tried to be careful from the start. My back was ok but my orienteering through the first 4 controls was very poor and scrappy - left on 1 and 2 and not looking at the map, then right on 3, then going ok to 4 but spotted the wrong clump of boulders and went too far right. Had a bit of a chat to myself and started getting my O-rhythm back :)

Pleased with my nav and route choices from 5 to 14. A bit unfocussed heading to 15 so wobbled a bit but not too bad. I just didn't have any running in my legs from 16 to finish.

Finished 3rd behind O-ing (33) and James (34 low) so not too far off the pace. My back was stiff at the end but no pain so really looking forward to the next few weeks.

I did my 'pre run' stretching and slides then some jogging to the start and in the open paddock. I tried being conservative with everything which is working.
