Running - Trail 37:18 intensity: (44 @1) + (7:06 @2) + (23:17 @3) + (6:11 @4) 7.01 km (5:19 / km) +106m 4:57 / km

For someone with mega-flexible hours, I don't run during the day often enough. Easy cruise around the escarpment, checking out Scenic Drive and a few sections of the Bruce I never get a good look at during TNT.
Perfect day Autumn day, cool, clear and lots of crunchy leaves.

Real TNT. Final bash at Summer Rally, summer in name only.
Decent conditions, a bit slippy in places and Lowry is a mess at the moment. Nice and cool with not wind.
Struggled to push myself solo, a couple time I drifted off into fantasy land and found I'd dropped back to cruising pace.
Then Bannistairs, a disgraceful 4:14. Granted a couple of lagging sections behind walkers, but still, that's poor. I have been pissweak on the stairs since the summer - it's time to get back on it.

Running - Trail 25:00 intensity: (12:30 @1) + (12:30 @2) 2.5 km (10:00 / km) +66m 8:50 / km
ahr:113 max:143 shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Running Mud Run loops with the ARK Kids.
I know I say this every week, but it's starting to get a bit ridiculous:
Wednesday: Cold drizzle and wind from when I start setting up to the end of the session.
Thursday: Admittedly cold and overcast while setting up, but when I get back to the car - the clouds open and all of downtown Hamilton is lit up with a sweet orange glow from the sunset. A minute later, kids start arriving. Good work Angels.

Putting out stuff for ARK. Hoo boy was it wet and chilly tonight, but I no complain.
I forgot how easy and fast it was to set up at Chedoke. Pleased to see my map updates in action - but have already noticed some errors!

ahr:139 max:180 shoes: Inov8 F-Lite 230

TNT - Mildly pissweak addition.
3 x 3 pump house loops followed by 2x2mins. I have to admit, my heart wasn't in it tonight and decided early I was recapering - so spent the first two sets doing nothing worth writing about.
Pulled my finger out part way through the final set and made the rest of it count.
Happy to be back on the golf course, even if the pumphouse loops are my least favourite. At least 3x3 was more interesting than 9x1. Trix and Greta were in fine form tonight.

Running - Trail warm up/down 18:29 intensity: (7:09 @1) + (7:20 @2) + (2:16 @3) + (1:35 @4) + (9 @5) 2.4 km (7:42 / km) +66m 6:46 / km
ahr:116 max:167 shoes: Inov8 F-Lite 230

Oof. That was the hardest part of the day. Body did not want to get going again today.

Running - Trail race 30:03 intensity: (3 @1) + (12 @2) + (44 @3) + (3:44 @4) + (25:20 @5) 6.84 km (4:24 / km) +138m 3:59 / km

Pumpkin Summit 8k(ish).
Since I didn't go to Boston, I decided to make the most of the weekend by doing a couple of races I wouldn't get the chance to do. (Would have done the 'Urban Warrior' race yesterday if it wasn't so ridiculously overpriced)
Fun course and awesome weather - lots of sweet single trail and the occasional gnarly section, just perfect for me.
Took the lead early, then lost it when I went off course. Pulled it back, then tried to make a gap whenever the trail got technical. Managed to do so, but it was never very far back to my competitors (who looked stronger than I felt).
Anyway, the course was tricky enough that they weren't able to catch me and took the win. Time seemed super fast and I was worried that I'd inadvertently short-cutted a sections, but it was mentioned after that the course markers missed a section this year.
Really enjoyed the post-race atmosphere. People were super friendly and a few recognised me from other races and introduced themselves and had a chat which was pretty cool. Seemed that Running Free have got a good community going - everyone just hung out at the finish line and cheered racers in when they finished.
