Running - Trail 30:00 [2] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212

Checking all the flags and tape was still out for the Get Muddy! race. All OK. Uber jealous not to be racing - sweet course (if I do say so myself) and sexy forest abounds.
Some ripper racing and close finishes today from Fransson and Waddington Jnrs. I don't know where they get it from - must be some Australian in the bloodline (on their mothers side)

Busy.
What started off so well is becoming a Super week

Running - Trail 35:13 [2] 6.52 km (5:24 / km) +65m 5:09 / km
shoes: Inov8 F-Lite 230

Pre ARK easy sesh. Don't think I've eaten enough the past few days, cause I was wiped from the get go - had planned on knocking off Main Loop and K2 as well, but there was no way I was going to pull that off today.
Uber heavy legs, sluggish, uncoordinated. The very definition of a menzies run.

Core & Strength 5:00 [1]

Some quick AngelCore before the kids started showing up.
Did want to do more, but the kids turn up so early for this hour and I felt like a tool doing planks in front of them.

Fairly tough TNT. 3x8', 2.5' recovery.
Was paying for last nights hard finish with very, very heavy legs. Was feeling like a Weak Canuck for most of it - but still tried to push it. It helped that the enigmatic Mr. Super was never far behind.
Finished with 3 nancies - you can be sure that no one in Hamilton worked harder tonight than the six of us who did Nancies. QED.

Awesome to have a big crew out tonight.

Have been pretty lazy this week (last 2 out of 3 days have been rest days :/) and I was pretty antsy all day to get out. Decided it was time for a real round the bay.
Tried to keep the pace honest and push above the 'comfortable' pace but not into tempo zone until towards the end. Felt pretty fresh and strong, but pretty much done by the end.
Cool, but humid afternoon. Hints of autumn colours around, but not quite yet. I like that I get 4 distinct seasons in this neck if the woods.
