Fun smt with lots of people. Good to see Trix back on form.
Further discussion on the Wall of Voodoo vs K2. Now I've thought about it further I believe the Wall is where it's at. With K2, the incline is such that you have the option of just pootling running at menzies speed up - ie with no intensity or increase in heart rate. The Wall of Voods has no such option. Fast or slow, it's still painful. QED.

Late arvo cruisy run round Cootes and the like. Perfect weather, like a Tassie mid March day.
Lots of fun, studenty stuff going on at Mac - I felt old.

TNT - Pre ARK edition.
Terrain Loop #2. The fast and furious loop. 1.5km x 3 as a progression run. Each loop at intensity 2,3 then 4. Had to modify the loop a little as I went on, trying to climb the hill back into the park at speed proved pretty tough as the slope was pretty treacherous after the rain, so I switched to the trail on the final loop - which I think was better as was able to push more.
A really fun loop - took in both of the ARK perpetual mud patches, lots of creek crossings and short sharp climbs.
Cooled down putting out ARK flags.

Running - Trail 30:00 [1]

Various running round for 2 hours of ARK + set up.
When I left home to go set up at 3:30pm we had 96 registrations. By 5:30 we had 101! Including the 4 from Guelph who must have registered on the drive down.
Barring a few minor things, I'm happy with how it went tonight - especially since I was pretty stressed beforehand. This is mainly attributed to the army of volunteers I now have at my disposal - I've effectively made myself redundant on Wednesdays (from 5:30 onwards at least).
Looking forward to tomorrow and the estrogen powered coaching line up. Trying to come up with something along the lines of Charlies Angels, but nothing jumps out.

TNT. Old Skool style, 5x5' up and down the Bruce with a bit of 2 minute hill in the middle. 3 x Nancies and F-Steps to follow.
turbo was flying tonight, I was making sure I stuck with him. Easy to do when it's undulating or a little gnarly, but he's a wily bugger on the flat stuff.
Felt good tonight, not great - could feel yesterdays hills a little in the legs.
Disappointed Trav wasn't there tonight - I know he would have been super jealous of my new Inov8s.

Turbocore. Epic.

More course testing for the COCs in the Deeve with hammer and Sudden.
Much better than last week both physically and technically, had that nice funky flow feeling throughout compared to last weeks constant battle with the terrain.
Few small errors, mainly when some creepy dude in the forest kept watching and distracting me.
Fun terrain and the course in evolving nicely, should be awesome once the map gets updated.

Tiffany Falls loop. Timed it well between rainstorms, but the trails were still super sketchy in places. Had planned on doing a K2 ascent, but just wasn't feeling the love today - so cut it short.
An argument could be made for shaving my legs after today - finished and was covered in burrs and seedy things, some of the bastards needed to be cut out.
