Easter Prologue at ADFA. 4.2km total.
Looking forward to this one. Started a little too fast, but was clean through the first 7. Got trapped on the opposite flower bed cul-de-sac coming out of 7 (and saw a naughty SA girl blatantly run across an olive green flower bed at the same time).
Lost a fair chunk of time on 12, navigated to the circle, but didn't go right round the corner of the building to the flag, instead deciding they were being sneaky and putting the control up the flight of stairs just to the south. Ran up, along a walk way, freaked out, then saw the flag from a distance. Then ruined 13, thought the marked routes were the only way through - didn't see any tape and had to stop a few times to make sure I was going the right way. I don't think the tape was necessary, the marked crossing point/section overrprint or 'underpass' ISSOM symbol would have been enough - but that's just me.
Spiked everything after that, just some hesitations around olive green.
Physically never felt strong, having to really force myselt to run. Not sure why, good sleep, ate well, good warm up. Maybe started a little too fast?
Prob a minute worth of mistakes, maybe a bit more with pansy hesitations. Shame, that would have been a decent result.
Loved the course and area, great start to Easter.
