Another Sunday, another Frolic.
What a difference a good nights sleep makes. Headed down after getting up at 10, a good 15 min uphill ride from the station to warm me up and headed out feeling much more sprightly than the day before.
I was quite crap in the Frolic part, but was running much better than yesterday to make up for it. I don't know what made it different, but it was just fun, although there was some crap brambles and nettles, there was some nice running through long grass, nice control picking in some complex woodland and the map was spot on in all regards. This is the orienteering I enjoy.
Only spiked about half, which is quite poor, but on my good ones my splits were pretty decent - I just need to focus on consistancy.
Interesting results in the WOC relays today - killer runs by the Brit lads (makes being pwned sting a lot less when it's by world champions!). Also impressive result by the Chinese woman. Is it just me, or is it starting to feel like we're slowly becoming a true world sport, not just something the Scandis do really well and we just play along with?
