Running 1:27:00 [3] 17.5 km (4:58 / km)
ahr:145 max:168 shoes: Mizuno Trail Bargain

Well I hadn't planned on going for that long....
Plan was head out to the end of Wimbledon Common and follow Beverly Brook to the Thames and home from there. Got to the Brook OK and followed it into Richmond Park, where it meandered along for a while and then disappeared under the park walls.... Had a choice of 2 exits, picked the wrong one and ended up in Sheen Common (?). As it was 3:30 by now the sun was starting to set so decided to make my way home. Luckily found Upper Richmond Rd and knew how to get back from there, but it was a long run on the road. Knees started to feel a little sore, but was generally happy with how I felt over that length. Now I'll have to do it again but.

Running 43:45 [3] 9.2 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Trail Bargain

Lunchtime run around Epsom Common and through to Ashtead Common. Closest I'm going to get to a white Christmas with most of the forest covered in frost due to it being due to temps being subzero in the shade. Ice in the fishing pond up to about 3cm thick, up from 1cm last week. Started some deer near the 'peak' of Ashtead Common which was pretty cool. Felt good for the most of the run, although I either ate too much for lunch, or to soon before the run - I'd go with the former.

Quick evening run round the streets of Putney and Barnes. Was feeling good, so got the speed up a bit. Felt good, still freezing.

Running 1:02:00 [2] 11.8 km (5:15 / km)
ahr:147 max:216 shoes: Mizuno Trail Bargain

Ran around the perimeter of Wimbledon Common. First time on the furthest southmost part - section along Beverly Brook is really nice and the track is pedestrian only.
Beaut day, clear and freezing, first time I've actually been cold for the majority of the run. Some of the tracks were still frost covered and frozen, time to purchase some warmer gear.
HR was disturbingly high for the first five minutes, but I think it was the monitor - settled out after I stopped running and let it drop.
