Running (Ridgeway Superloop) 56:45 [3] 10.0 km (5:41 / km) +400m 4:44 / km
ahr:152 max:168

Waterworks-Fern Tree-O'Grady's Falls-South Hobart-Waterworks loop.
So cold, but in a nice kinda fresh way.
Nice run, good to be back in amongst the mountains again. This loop used to take a lot longer when I used to do it in a group as a junior, like 70+ minutes - I can see now why I never did well back then!

Running 50:00 [3] 8.0 km (6:15 / km)

Another run down along the river, this time further along to Kangaroo Point and back over Storey Bridge. Really cool around the cliffs with all the rockclimbers in the orange flood lights and about 50 people in kayaks and head torches on the river. I've really enjoyed these run this week - I'm gonna really try when I go travelling later this year to go for a run in each city I visit. Having said that. I did have that resolution last year, but it didn't really come to fruition - I could count the number of runs I did on one hand.

Running 55:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:07 / km)

Another run down by the river. The boardwalks down by the river that twist through the trees near the botanical gardens are pretty cool.
Have to say I'm glad rollerblading never really took off down in Tassie, they go slower than running pace most of the time - so annoying.
Also have to say Brisbane drivers are the worst and most inconsiderate in the country. Got abused for crossing the lights while the red man was flashing. Truck drivers are the worst, we got rear ended today cause we stopped when the light turned red, 'I thought you were going through', yes, well maybe if you weren't right on our arse you would have seen the brake lights. Brand new work car too, only 23km on the clock! Lucky I wasn't driving

Running 45:00 [3] 7.5 km (6:00 / km)

Run from my place down to and around the river. Struggled getting to the bike/walking tracks but once I got down there it was really nice looking at all the big buildings and fairy lights. Aww, so pwetty! Ran through a group of about 200 people in fancy dress, not a vinnies Pimps & Hos party, I'm saying Fred Flintstone and Bride of Frankenstein rented stuff. Pretty cool.
Surprising amount of Bogans driving round Brizzy - I never realised!

Orienteering race (Stags Head) 1:22:20 [4] **** 12.0 km (6:52 / km) +300m 6:06 / km
ahr:159 max:172 spiked:10/20c

Pretty scrappy and sloppy race at Stags Head. Good 2min mistake on the first control (up a hill in a paddock) set the stage for the rest of the course. Got confused by an unmapped open area at 4 and more confused by a rocky ground hidden by the control circle at 7. Bloody awful vegetation in the last loop didn't help. Did relatively well on the 2nd last leg diagonally down a featureless slope through waist/chest high bracken - was walking once I got in the control cicle, found an extra rockface but eventually got it.
Lee tried to tell me my way on the long route choice leg was crap, but I was only 30 secs slower than him, and he had an unmapped track the whole way! Loser.
Best part was beating Grace by 25 seconds - Canberra's made her soft.
