Running (Mt. Wellington) 2:00:00 [2] 11.0 km (10:55 / km) +800m 8:00 / km
ahr:130 max:157

I decided today was the day to try out a few new tracks on the mountain. Plan was: Start at the Springs and do Icehouse Ruins, South Wellington with a detour to Smiths Monument, Zig Zag, Organ Pipes, Sawmill & Lenah Valley back to the Springs. 2 hours and a meagre 11km later I can safety say the "run" was crap. Steep, rocky to the point of boulder hopping & ankle deep flooded tracks for about 90% of it. Won't be doing it again, although the views along the South Wellington track were damn incredible.

Cycling 25:00 [2]

Rode into work. Absolutely no wind, the river was a mirror, albiet a dreary, foggy grey mirror.

Running (Tour) 40:20 [3] 6.9 km (5:51 / km) +200m 5:06 / km
ahr:145 max:177 weight:83.1kg

Usual Thursday tour, set be Lee. Shortened for the tapering JWOC hopefuls. Felt a bit shit cause we had a catered meeting at work and I was determined to try everything - 3 trays worth.
Was showing off the disco function on my head torch when we suddenly went into a really dark area and I tripped on a root and went down like a sack of shit. Louis just laughed and ran over the top of me, I'm pretty sure he tried to tread on my head. Good group run, most people seemed to be taking it easy which made a nice change. Ryans continual sound effects also added an interesting touch.

Running 1:01:00 [3] 12.3 km (4:58 / km)
ahr:141 max:164

Run around the streets in the dark. Started to get a stitch about 2/3rds of the way through - I haven't had them in years and I've started to feel a couple these last weeks. They went away when I started doing some core work, so I might start that up again if keeps going on.

Running 46:00 [3] 9.3 km (4:57 / km)
ahr:137 max:162

Lunchtime run from work out to Cornelian Bay and back. Longer than I expected, and fairly boring. Nicer going back along the old rough trail than the bike path. Another cracking day.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 3.7 km (8:06 / km)

Including recoveries. Was pretty damn lazy on some of them

Running intervals 13:55 [5] 4.0 km (3:29 / km)
max:177

Did 5x800m on the flat. Should have done a couple more, felt really good the whole time but still feel I could go harder. Times were pretty consistant - 2:50, 2:45, 2:47, 2:50, 2:43.
Most notable part was pciking up the new Hoods 'Restrung' album today and listened to that when I ran, I'm a sucker for gimmicky stuff like that and it rocked. 'What a Great Night' fitted my pace perfectly for 3:30 mins/km, maybe I'll just play that on repeat in the upcoming fun run!
