Running race (Cross Country) 23:47 [5] 6.0 km (3:58 / km)
ahr:176 max:188 slept:9.0

Cross Country race at Geilston Bay. First time I've gotten round to doing one of these. Thought I'd do a better time than that, but it was a fairly twisty turny course and there were a couple of bastard climbs. Felt really flat the entire way, I think I slept too much - probably not warming up didn't help either.
It was actually a handicap race and I got a bludgy noob handicap (even though Greg Hawthorne is the master handicapper). I think I may have won on the handicap, there was no one in frot of me for the last 1.5km but I didn't hang around to find out.

Orienteering 56:00 [1] 5.8 km (9:39 / km) +300m 7:40 / km
ahr:122 max:164

Taping controls at Risdon Brook Dam. Legs did not want to move after the cross country race, felt like a sloth, although they generally move faster than I did at some points.

Running 42:44 [4] 8.4 km (5:05 / km) +300m 4:19 / km
ahr:147 max:182

Tour at Sandy Bay. Sey by Ryan, a little shorter than usual cause Pooks wanted to save himself for the weekend. Normally that would require a bagging for being a pussy but I'll let it slide cause hes in my FOOL team.
Pretty damn hilly, I refused to walk though bar a few short sections on the Mt Nelson steps. Last 2 legs were awesome downhil through the Uni.
Best route choice of the night goes to Nicko, sprinting away from the pack on a long leg, misses a turn off and we wait around at a rest point for about 5 minutes before he finally works out where he is. It was quite a tricky map though....

Running 32:30 [3] 6.5 km (5:00 / km) +200m 4:20 / km
ahr:148 max:163

Couldn't really be arsed going for a run but I know I'm gonna get nothing done tomorrow with a trip to Ulverstone and back.
Probably shouldn't have bothered, cut planned route short cause I couldn't be bothered running over Elizabeth St. Got a stitch for the first time in years towards the end, had to slow to a walk at one point - think I ate too much cake someone brough in to work today. Although there's no such thing as too much cake, just too many people to share it round.

Running tempo 10:00 [4] 2.61 km (3:50 / km)
max:168

I've entered out company's corporate team for an upcoming fun run. I want to beat everyone so I looked at sub 40min 10k training plan online. It's actually pretty similar to what I do now so I'm not gonna change much (and I'm pretty suspect of anything like that online anyway). Did the speed session last night which had the fast intervals running my 5K pace. Not really sure what that was being 3 years since I did a 5K race so I took it as 3:50 based on my fiddlers time.
Looking back it wasn't really fast enough. Peak heart rate wasn't high enough and I didn't really feel like I was working that hard

Running 30:00 [2] 4.5 km (6:40 / km)

Warm up/warm down/run to the start at 7 mile beach for some training in the dunes with Pooks and Em. Ryan kept making us run on super soft sand tracks, very annoying.

Orienteering 34:00 [3] **** 5.2 km (6:32 / km)

Bit of training amongst the dand dunes set by Pookie Bear. 3 loops ~ 1.8km. Pretty happy with how I went, confirmed I'm pretty good in dunes as long as I keep concentrating - I found I did the best on the trickiest looking loop. Pretty appalling how quickly the wheels fall off when I stop thinking though! Good work PB, although I didn't like how you beat me back on each loop.
