Cycling 2:00:00 [3] 38.0 km (19.0 kph)
ahr:129 max:161 slept:9.0

Long and slow ride all around outer Hobart. Very up and down adn a lot of breaks. The hills were annoying me but I'd rather that than ride along the bike track with all the lycra wankers. Garmin reckons I climbed 1000m - I don't think so, I reckon even half that is excessive.

Running (Fiddlers Handicap) 21:55 [5] 5.0 km (4:23 / km) +150m 3:49 / km
ahr:174 max:186 weight:86kg

Last one for the year and equalled my PB (which I set last year) for the course, so pretty happy with that. Probably the best end to a Fiddlers I've done with a bunch of about 10 finishing together.
More importantly, the first song on my Ipod was Khe Sanh. Turns out the beat of this song matches my pace on the flat to do 3:45 min/km and what's even cooler is the length of the song from when the lyrics start to when the rythym slows towards the end is just over 3:45, so now I know if I keep to the pace of Khe Sahn on a run I'll know I've done a km! Couldn't have picked a better song for it.

Running 41:30 [4] 8.0 km (5:11 / km) +250m 4:29 / km

Couldn't be bothered going to orienteering at Howrah again, so just ran to bowls in a very roundabout fashion. Alternated every km between easy and hard. A poor route meant the first 3 hard sections were all uphill and crossing major raods so there's not much diff in the easy and hard splits. Prob could have gone harder, but was by myself and unmotivated.

Deceptively humid and I had a thick T-Shirt on cause the forecast was rain. Drenched in 5 mins.

Not Training 2:00:00 [1] 0.8 km (2:30:00 / km)

By popular demand...

This was the first match of a handicap series based on our form from the past couple of months. We started 4 points up on the other team (from the 1st division). That lead was demolished by the 5th end, and by the 8th end they were 6 points up.
Somehow we won the next 3 ends to be 1 point in front much to the chagrin of the other teams Skip. He got frustrated and said 'How can you guys get 7 points in 3 ends?'. He was a bit of a tool so I pointed out that it was 'probably cause you guys played crap on the last couple'.
So on the the last end they were holding shot until I knocked the jack out to the back and we were one up. The skip did a throwing his hands in the air gesture which made my day, but then on the next shot the other team drew a shot about 1cm closer than mine that gave them a point and drew even. Both team skips did nothing useful so final result - tied game, but we won the psychological battle.

Running (Tour De Hobart) 1:03:15 [4] 9.15 km (6:55 / km) +300m 5:56 / km
ahr:155 max:183

First TDH of 07, Risdon Brook Dam. Good course (cause it was set by me!), more hills than originally thought. Consistant 3rd place makes me realise I need to work on my speed. Good to be running in a group again.

Running 54:12 [3] 10.0 km (5:25 / km) +110m 5:08 / km
ahr:160 max:181

10k out and back on the Pipeline track. Normally I don't bother running on this one cause I hate how it's just a constant incline the whole way, but a bunch of juniors have been doing it every Sunday so decided to join the for once. Nice cruise of a run, just took it easy the whole way. Some of those juniors are bloody fast!
