Running - Street 20:00 [3]

I ran. Wasn't much but was feeling motivated after driving out to the OCup to pick up the SSR gear.
Just a little explore round the streets near my new abode including the very odd Jesus park opposite the church across the road. Hacking up a lot of gunk still but on the mend.

Note
(sick)

The low level virus I'd been feeling all week, that I kinda thought was jetlag erupted into a full fledged fever last night. No SSR for me

Not sure if I'm getting sick or just slammed by jet lag. The constant 3-4am wake ups are not my thing.

Running - Trail 30:00 [3] 5.3 km (5:40 / km)

So this begins the attempt for the sub 40 10k in May. I'm still bouncing between whether I want to try for sub 20/5k or 40/10k, but I'll see how the training goes.

I've ripped off a sub 20 5 k plan and gonna follow that for 10 weeks and see how I'm feeling after. It only requires 3 runs a week, so if I keep up with 9 am smts that ticks off one. The other 2 are an interval and tempo workout and usually in the 30-40 min vicinity so shouldn't be too hard to add.

Today was a easy warm up/cool down and then 2 miles with 7x60sec accelerations. I was usually hitting around 4 min/ks for each one and the idea of having to maintain that pace for 20 mins, let alone 40 is pretty daunting at this stage. I've got 5 months, so it better become easier.
