Running 25:40 [2] 4.41 km (5:49 / km)
ahr:148 max:162 shoes: Mizuno Trail Bargain

Run around Putney Heath from the place I'm staying at since arriving in London Town.
First run in over a month and it didn't hurt like I thought it would. But consideing we weren't setting a blazing pace and there were no hills to speak of I would hope it wouldn't hurt much.
Was a little concerned that my heart rate was up to 160 after only 2 minutes (and trundling at 6min/km) but it settled down nicely after that. Might try to settle in this area as there are lots of parks to run it that have lots of nice single trail and you can link them pretty easily without having to run much on the road.
Was a bit worried that I'd turn back into a fatarse once I got here but theres heaps of running things going on to keep me entertained. Heading up to Oxford in a couple of weeks with Sebby Woof (who randomly lives about 5 mins from me!) to do some big street orienteering event and booked a fun run in December at Battersea park where you wear a Santa outfit. Happy times!

Cycling 1:55:00 [1] 19.5 km (10.2 kph)

Nida, Lithuania

Normally wouldn't count this as training, but it's the location that makes it attackpoint worthy.

Rented bikes and rode round the paths around Nida on the Corunian Spit. On the bus ride down from Klaipeda I was drooling over the sand dunes and telling my mates what awesome O terrain it would be (a grass carpeted Pittwater). Capped it off when we headed into the tourist office to see maps from the World Masters 01 proudly on display in there. I had no idea!
Also went down to the Kalinigrad border - expected to see lots of guards with guns pointing at us, a little disappointed to see a couple of Russians moving a fallen tree.
