Out on X-League #1 at Westdale.
Wanted to see if construction had started yet (hasn't).
Beauty evening, took a Ginger Valley trail route down to Princess Point, then back via Kay Drage and the Cathedral. 10/10 would do again

Pre Jungle Gum.
Set some K2-tervals for Kim and Bren. Shadowed Kim on 2 of them.
Long time since I've been on the slopes of K2. 2 sets of terrifying MTB trails have appeared which is disappointing - don't seem to be getting much use though.
Knee great on trails, not loving steep & slippy downhills.

July XXL League at Camp Nemo

Yuup. First time forest orienteering since what, Yukon in 2018.

Anyway, not a total disaster. Knee not a huge fan of it, but doable. A few brief moments where my brain remembered it had to read the map *while* I was running and got a fleeting reminder of what flow used to feel like.
And it feels really good.

I had planned to go run with the Niagara ARX crew, but thunderstorms had other ideas, so decided to go do the Summer Rally again.
Feeling decent after Skunk Holler, so decided to put some effort in the final 2/3rds. I was pretty sure if I came in under 22, I'd be ahead of Dr PBV so made that my goal. Success.

Collecting flags I'd left out from ARK the previous week. Only 1 had been removed, which is a win for this area, which has a vigilant flag remover.(though doesn't seem to care about all the Timmies trash that lines the trails)

Drew a 3k (very) easy line course on Mohawk Sports Park using the X-League from this season course controls from MapRun.
I can still read a map, but did miss an overgrown trail junction, so concentration is an issue.
Took a while to warm up, but felt good by the end.
Walked through the sections of waist high grass. Still very allergic to the grass that is seeding this time of year.

Breakthrough physio session on Friday seems to have located the source of my knee pain (Gluteus Medius).
Long roll and stretch session beforehand, tossed on a knee brace for extra stability and got through a June Summer Rally attempt successfully.
Not at 100% yet, more like 95%, which I'll take.
Lungs actually felt pretty good, seems like crossfit can keep you in decent shape even through a long term 'biomechanical issue'.
Note sure if 4 weeks is enough to get into terrain shape for COCs, but I'll see what I can do.
