Day 2 up Feathertop. Gareth, Kez and I started together but Gareth was soon pushing the pace. I stayed back and was happy just to grind out a steady pace. This was the toughest and longest of the 3 days. Just about managed to keep running the whole way but struggled on the last 3rd.

Once we popped out of the trees we were treated to panoramic views of the Australian Alps. The finish was just one guy on a camp chair sitting on top of the mountain. He was having a great time chatting to runners, soaking up their stories and the scenery.

Running 1:32:29 intensity: (10:38 @0) + (57:42 @1) + (3:41 @2) + (1:41 @3) + (4:14 @4) + (14:33 @5) 7.29 mi (12:42 / mi) +33m 12:31 / mi

Run down. Heart was a bit jittery on the descent so took it easy.

Day 1 of the Bright Alpine 4 Peak race series. 4 days, 4 climbs. A very nice, low key vibe - the closest to a fell race in the UK that you get in Oz apparently.

Took it very steady with Gareth and kept the pace conversational the whole way round. Kez started with us, but he skipped away once we hit the flat.
