Run with Alex and Dave. Double pain today. Left calf cramped after 5 minutes but managed to continue to run / hobble on it. Then on the long climb up Spout lane heart went off again. Had to walk but managed to do the rest of the run.

Felt very much like an old man today; ironic that I managed to have a physio and doctor with me.

I know that any rational interpretation of this is that I need to rest and take it easy, but this is really frustrating because feel well in myself and have a desire to get out exercising. I also set myself a target of November to start getting back into shape and this now looks quite unrealistic.

However, all I can do is take this on the chin and use it as an opportunity to refresh, relax and that it is the best time to have off running in the season yadda yadda... But those of you who know me will recognise that all this is easier said than done.

Run home from work. Same route as Tuesday. Heart starting getting funny at the top of Rivelin. Really frustrating. Didn't stop me running but felt weird and uncomfortable.

Got home and it took 2 hours to settle down to a normal pattern. Been drinking less caffeine than normal (had started to reintroduce one cup per day) and feeling well in myself.
