Orienteering 1:11:12 intensity: (30:00 @1) + (41:12 @4) 6.5 mi (10:57 / mi)

POM Day 2 which went much better - got into a nice flow and spiked pretty much every control. Enjoyable stuff. Plus warm up and down.

Running 40:00 [2] 5.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Easy run with OJ. Took an exploratory and hilly route which was very pleasant. Finished with an ice bath in the outdoor pool.

Easy early morning jog with OJ.

Orienteering 1:58:00 intensity: (25:00 @1) + (1:33:00 @4) 12.0 mi (9:50 / mi)

Day 1 POM (plus warm up and down). Fun course, but I was too ill-disciplined and struggled to get good pictures of the controls - getting to the control circle was not a problem, but spiking the control was.

Good fun though.

Night sprint O. Good fun marred by misreading the map on the way to control number 3.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [1] 3.5 mi (8:34 / mi)

Easy warm up and a warm down with Alex and Rach.

Slightly longer morning run, trying to find a distinctive tree that we could see from the main road. Found it on our way back. Treated like regulars at the cafe near the appartment for our daily order of bread rolls and pastries.

Orienteering 35:00 [3] 3.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Slow jog round the model map. Thorny and spikey and the map was not great. Hoping for more for the races themselves.

Easy jog with OJ.

Relay simulation with Nails and OJ. Touches of brilliance interspersed with turdiness.

Orienteering 1:00:00 intensity: (10:00 @1) + (30:00 @2) + (20:00 @4) 6.9 mi (8:42 / mi)

We only had 3 maps with us so I did some foxdahls for 20 minutes and then some (unsuccesful) orienteering. Certainly flagging by the end.

First session in the dunes. Really good visability and flowing ok.

Orienteering 54:00 intensity: (20:00 @1) + (34:00 @4) 6.63 mi (8:09 / mi)

Trains with Nails and OJ. All my orienteering discipline went out the window. Had fun though.

Evening run in Portugal after a long, but fun(ish), journey out to Fig da Foz. Ran with OJ until the light faded.

Orienteering training on Black beck with Ant. Did an old control pick course. Was very clunky and was not flowing - enjoyable nonetheless.
