Running warm up/down 45:00 [3] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)

WU and WD. Would have liked to have done a bit more - was planning on some stretching and strides but the 5 minutes call up prevented this!

Running race 32:24 [5] 10.0 km (3:14 / km)

Percy Pud. It was wet and windy but not too cold. Please with race - finished 3rd but was hoping to run a bit faster. However, I have lots of excuses to justify the slower time. A consolation is that those who beat me had run much faster in the past couple of months - winner was hoping to do sub 31 today and was 30 seconds slower than this.

Clare got a PB as well, and some good runs from other HH members and Danger so quite a productive day out.

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

Easy bike ride with Candyman. Pretty nice, but the road was a bit greasy.

Friday Dec 4, 2009 #

Running 40:00 [2] 4.5 mi (8:53 / mi)

Run to gym (via Uni) and then home.

Running drills 5:00 [3] 0.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

4 x strides in Weston Park before S+C

S+C 45:00 [3]

Steady session - pretty quiet which was a relief.

Running 24:00 [3] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Run to work

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 2.5 mi (8:00 / mi)

Warm up and down before EIS session

Running intervals 20:00 [4] 3.0 mi (6:40 / mi)

Run on the indoor track at the EIS. It was good fun to be doing something a bit different. Met up with Mike and did 5 x 400m and then 5 x 200m. Indoor track running seemed like harder work than running outside and 400 seemed to take a lot longer (maybe I was just running slower).

Had a bit of a debate afterwards about how you could mathematically take into account the inclines / declines as well as the bends when calculating the staggers for each distance. Well...I just said that it would be hard and Mike agreed.

Running 36:00 [2] 5.0 mi (7:12 / mi)

Slightly longer RTW

Running 25:00 [3] 3.5 mi (7:09 / mi)

Run to Clare's work. We were meant to drive to IKEA but bottled it after 5 minutes of traffic jams and went for tea and beer at the Milestone instead - good choice!

S+C 35:00 [3]

Same old.

Tuesday Dec 1, 2009 #

Running 24:00 [3] 3.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

RTW

Running 50:00 [3] 7.0 mi (7:09 / mi)

Run to track and then home again with Sprotty and Rich. Everyone was quite chatty - obviously did not try hard enough.

Running drills 5 [3] 0.3 mi (17 / mi)

6 x 100m warm up strides

Running intervals 35:30 [5] 5.3 mi (6:42 / mi)

lots (12) x 2 minutes with 1 minute prancing / recovery. Ran them pretty consistently so was pleased. Good group of lads out tonight.
