Running race 31:50 [5] 9.0 km (3:32 / km)

South Yorkshire Champs. 3 tough 3k loops of Norfolk park. Not for the feignt hearted - really tough and challenging course. I started off steady and managed to work my way through the field (the idea was to run even splits which I almost managed). Just managed to beat Nick Swift on a sprint finish for 2nd place but Dave Archer proved too strong and won convincingly.

Think that makes three lots of second places for me - maybe next year.

Running around before the course, afterwards and then home via Mike's house. Legs tired by the end.

Long rainy run with Mike and OJ. No one bothered to push the pace which I was more than happy with. Good sociable run.

Took down the other half of our attic roof. Tough work but an honest bit of destruction is always good for the soul.

Having had a few after work beers last night struggled to force myself out of bed in order to get to the gym. I knew that Gareth and OJ would be counting on me to join them.....however they both didn't show up. Lightweights.

Run home - added a bit on to my 5 mile route.

Early morning run around Damflask. Started the run at 06.45 (ouch). Had romantic notions of a early morning sunrise - not a chance of it. Dull and dreary. Spooked a few fishermen - not sure if they get there really really early, or stay out all night.

Run to work. Feeling tired from track and had a bit of a scratchy throat.

Run to work, then to track and then home. Icy and cold.

4 x 1550. It was incredibly icy tonight; I am blaming that for the fact that I was nowhere near 5 min mile pace tonight. Got a bit pissed off halfway through the session because I was sliding around so much.

Impressive running from Jo and Camel tonight.
