Orienteering (Control pick-up) 20:00 [1] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)

DVOA Rodney camp, Elk Neck MD: Woke-up feeling beat, with a lousy wet day. Alison ran the green course while neither Heather or I had the energy to do anything. Had an informal DVOA executive committee mtg. Picked-up a couple of controls, a good hill climb to one.

running 1:16:05 [3] 9.3 mi (8:11 / mi)

Beautiful day about 60 degF with a slight breeze. Planning to do the Broad Street Run next month and haven't run close to a 10 mile run in over a year so did the loop around the river to see how painful my time might be. Surprised myself by doing it without stopping, except for a drink at Fall's Bridge. 38.46 to Fall's Bridge (4.7miles), 12.13, (Fall's Br 1.6miles) 8.03, 8.05, 8.11, 7.43
Felt pretty good, so should be able to hit 80 mins for the 10mile Broad Street Run

Stretching 10:00 [1]

Good stretch at end of run

running (Walking Dog) 2:20 [1] 0.3 mi (7:46 / mi)

Morning walk with Ellie along the river to Locust Point. She was totally scared by the train. Run a bit back as she wanted to sprint. As a miniature daschund she looks like a greyhound with the legs chopped off when she sprints, but she can run fast. It was fun running past the joggers on the path with her leading the charge
