WEST POINT 30th A-MEET & 2009 INTERSCHOLASTIC CHAMPS: SPRINT RACE
M50: Place 1st - 2nd fastest overall on course. See Splits
Great setting on the West Point campus overlooking the Hudson River. With Alison starting 30 seconds behind me, that was a great incentive to push as hard as possible which I did. Had a clean run, though almost overshot 5 and 6. End result: managed to hold off Alison. She also had a great run with 5th fastest time. It is only a matter of time before she starts beating me.

WEST POINT 30th A-MEET & 2009 INTERSCHOLASTICS CHAMPS
MIDDLE Distance: M50 Place 6th
Tired from the sprint race - Lost about 20 secs on way to 1, as changed plan from low route to the upper route, but the upper route was much cleaner even over the rocky ground. A slog up hill to control 2. On bearing out of 4 must have veered left a bit as found another control on a cliff within 80 m of mine. Realized the mistake when checking the code, (others were not so lucky). Caught up with Scott Thatcher here, who was moving well through the open woods. Only real mistake was taking the direct line to 8 without realizing there was an uncrossable fence in the way then, went right and left was the quicker option. Lost at least 1 minute. Strong run. Less than 3 minutes off leader.
