Bike 1:10:00 intensity: (30:00 @2) + (40:00 @4) 30.0 km (25.7 kph) +675m

Tempo up the parkway to Snowforest. 37 and change I think?

Hike 2:30:00 [2] 9.0 km (16:40 / km) +900m 11:07 / km

Short backpacking adventure with Courtney, Brett and Suzanne (and the dogs). We hiked in to North Tilley Lakes via the west MacPherson access. We dropped down the rock field from the col and then directly to the lake. The travel was OK - some bush whacking but not bad. The rest of the route to the lake was pretty straightforward. Felt weird to be in a pretty remote spot and still seem the bottom of the ski hill. And though remote it is in the flight path of the scenic flights from 3 valley gap so a few helicopters buzzed by through the evening.

Run 3:00:00 [3] 18.0 km (10:00 / km) +975m 7:52 / km
shoes: Raptor Red 1

Solo trip out to Mt Rev. Busy for midweek - lots of "on your left" today... Started by running to Eva then continued on and did a ridge circuit beyond Eva Pass (which was mainly hiking) before rejoining the trail for the last 5km. One 4th class section on the ridge but nothing too bad. Lots of rock hopping on the way down. It was pretty steep where I dropped off the ridge. It worked but maybe a little further down the ridge works better. 4830 to Eva which didn't seem too slow. Legs felt a bit tired and certainly was running out of gas at the end as this was one of the longer runs of the year.

Bike 2:15:00 [2] 24.97 km (11.1 kph) +827m

Frisky Ridge with Courtney. It has been a while as the trail was closed for repairs last year. Looks good though it is such a dry year that hard to assess if they are working well. Flowers were still out and the ride down was fun with only a few interruptions to stop for other riders. Liking the 800mm bars for the down but feel wide when climbing. Also feel like I might like a 28T up front as with this cassette there is a big jump between the last two gears and I seem to be changing between those two a lot. 28T would take me into the 2nd and 3rd easiest gears instead which are closer together.

Paddle 1:00:00 [2] 6.5 km (6.5 kph) +7m

Paddling below the airport (went above the dam first but to windy). A bit of adventure as we connected our loop with a bit of walking. This turned out to be a little further than I remembered and the mosquitoes were horrendous. It kind of stinks as the water is going down as well. Otherwise a nice paddle.

Run 53:00 [4] 11.0 km (4:49 / km) +35m 4:45 / km
shoes: Brooks Ghost

Started without much plan but after a steady 2km warm up decided to just ease into steady half marathon pace. Of course I can only hold that pace for 10km but it is a start:)

Bike 55:00 [1] 8.0 km (8.7 kph) +200m

Easy ride with Brook on my new old bike. It took two months to show up but my Instinct is finally here. Got a few hundred more off for the delay so that was nice. Feels familiar but also a few things to adjust too - bars are 800mm wide for one, also my first 1X set up. After not riding with a dropper for the past two months I kept forgetting to use it. Overall the bike feels exactly how I hoped - more plush and forgiving than my previous version with the beefier fork/shock.
12 PM

Paddle 1:05:00 [3] 7.5 km (6.9 kph)

Finally some cooler weather and it actually rained (though not a lot). Was spitting a little while I paddled. Courtney is working today so I was solo and I took her boatVery little current so made it past the Big Eddy.
