Clear night, good weather forecast and very little wind meant that the the next day or two were shaping up great. Headed to Cupola to bag it before any wind/sun affected the route up/down. There is one steeper section on the initial climb from the col which would feel exposed in higher hazard. Coming from the Meadow side would likely feel better. Once on the ridge travel was easy and soon we were standing on the peak. Had a great view into the head of Mayvill Creek which is where we were planning on spending the remainder of the day. I was pleasantly surprised by the snow quality down to Silhouette Lake - good thing we skied this south facing slope early as even a few hours later it was getting moist. We then skied some very nice alpine pow (Mayvill's navel and Dark Side of the Moon). Finished with a short climb up Cairn Peak and steep few turns off the NE side. Warm day and got a bit dehydrated. 1L of water is not enough in the spring...
