Did a few things today that might end up looking a bit silly.
Jogged through a few drills at soccer training with the kiddies with barely any discomfort at all...
so then a few mates were playing basketball at school, and I played a casual 15 minutes or so before i went home. Maybe 1 little twinge when I jumped for a rebound, but felt good. Thinking if I pull up OK that I might try a slow 5km jog tomorrow.
Yay.

The usual. At home with no weights. Have been a bit slack the last few days...
Tried to fix a leak in the roof before the rain came. Think I did enough, then put my foot through two tiles as I was getting down. Bugger. The plumber that dug a big hole out the front of our house a while ago buried all our spare tiles when they filled the hole in.
Tried to temp. fix it with a silicone sealant and a couple of blocks of wood.
Wasn't confident, so had an emergency afternoon dash to Balcatta Recycling Centre.
Tried out the Wii Flit Plus for a while. Confirmed what I already knew in several ways.
1. My static balance is crap
2. I am not overweight
3. Wii Fit is not real exercise (although I suppose if you were determined to try you could probably make up a core type routine that isn't a complete waste of time. But what I did was pretty pointless from an exercise POV)
At least it adds another colour to my log ;)

No weights (at home). Guess no weight and once a day is still better than nothing.

...and to continue this week's theme of adding strange colours to my log - a bike ride. From work to Yanchep and return. Tried to take it easy on the way out, but felt surprisingly strong. Not so surprsingly, when I turned around, the headwind was significantly stronger than I had realised :( Felt pretty ahrd work for the last 20 minutes. Both knees a little uncomfortable under the patella. Will see if theings flare up again. Hopefully not till my achilles settle at least.
Didn't get around to it yesterday, but nack with the weighted backpack this morning.

Note
Had a little run around the soccer field with a bunch of year 8's today. Still need a little warming up, but only very minor discomfort now. Will have to check bwhat all the articles say about when to resume running - feels like it's much closer now.

Same again. A little tight from the arvo run-around but fine on the second and third sets.

Did a bit of a core workout on one of the new fitballs we have in our school gym. Ball was very flat, and I took all the easy options for the exercises and it was still horrifically hard. I think I have no core strength at all. Strange, given the massive training load of core strength exercises I've done in the last 4 years.
I'm gonna be sore tomorrow. And the next day. And probably the day after that too...
Finally added 5kg in a backpack to the rehab. Made it a fair bit harder, but not too uncomfortable.

As per the morning.

What the? What is that strange colour doing in my log?
On the bike for the second time this year, and it nearly killed me. 10 minute WU, 5 x 2 on, 2 off, short cooldown. Barely survived the first 2 minute effort. I know I'm 3 weeks detrained, but it's amazing how specific fitness really is. Wouldn't feel nearly that bad (I hope) running.
Could feel slight pulling/discomfort in my right knee. How did I not figure out the link between riding and patella tendon issues for 3 years. Thick. Will definitely get a bike fit done sooner rather than later, as I suspect a bit more riding may be on the cards for the next few months.
