run race (Golf Course Time Trial) 17:44 [5] 5.0 km (3:33 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Once again headed into time trial without a clue how I'd run. Enforced taper, but not 100% over stomach bug yet. Obviously didn't affect the legs. Started strong. Took it a bit easy on the first flats round the back side of the course, but pretty solid. Really surprised with time, given how far in front some others finished.
A big 5yr PB, so very happy with that. Have to check with Tooms how far off al time PB that was. Getting some consistency back to running 3 times per week obviously helps. Who knows what might happen if I ever get back to 4 or 5...

run warm up/down 25:00 [1] 4.5 km (5:33 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Easy warmup, cooldown and a fw runthroughs

Note
(sick)

Had planned to ride Friday, but girls have ben sick and parent teacher interviews meant I was going to get home oo late, so bailed. Good choice as Esther started vomiting around lunchtime and Penny didn't feel too flash so I knocked together some relief lessons and bolted home.

Whatever stomach bug the girls have had hit me about 9am today. Have spent a good part of the day in bed. No serious action yet and I still feel like rubbish (7:30pm)

run (Carine OPen Space Loop) 1:00:57 [3] 12.5 km (4:53 / km)
shoes: Nike Equalon

Felt really easy. Fingers froze badly. Could hardly open door when I got home. Should have worn gloves...
Expected a bit slower as I was short striding and a bit unsure of footing in the dark for the first half of the run. Felt much easier than running a similar loop a few months ago.

Note

Knee was a little better today. The nurofen before bed last night must have helped.
