Looong day out, mostly in the car. Felt good at the start after yesterday and was looking forward to this course but once I started it went downhill almost instantly. Thought one was easy, just along the track but was so busy trying to work out what to do two, that when I looked up I had no idea where I was on the track or where the control should be. Lizzie caught me two minutes here then ran off straight away. I decided I wanted to go left to 2 but exited 1 badly so wobbled my way around the lake, half way up the first steep hill I decided I wanted to go even more left so changed plan half way through, then ok for a while tho mostly bashing through bush so changed plan again and just went straight thru last bit of dark green. Finally got there and at least I knew where I was the whole way. Jas caught me at 2. We ran different ways to 3, tho I saw her in the middle to cross the track and at the end. This leg was fun, nice forest, mostly down hill and I nailed it. 4 was fine, thru the green which was dumb but only short way, at control 4 just put her foot into a stick which snapped and got stuck there. We faffed around trying to decide whether to pull it out or not until Hoggster came along and told me to go and get a car. Sadly, the race over when the fun short legs were just starting and I had done most of the climb. Jas is fine, going to be sore for a few days but will be right by next weekend I think.
