orienteering race 47:00 [3] 6.4 km (7:21 / km)
shoes: x-talon 212

aussie relay champs
pretty fatigued from yesterday so wasn't planning on doing anything fast, with Craney's pommy accent repeating "you can't win a relay on the first leg, you can only lose it" in my head. took the wide track route choice to 3 and felt like i was getting away from everyone, until i got to #3 and Devil and Jock Davis came out of nowhere right next to me after taking the straight RC! another poor RC from Big D. still had a lead going to #5 but lost it all again getting stuck in the marsh! after that i gave up dropping people, and was fairly clean if hesitant, with some great head to head running with Kas later on.

orienteering race 1:48:00 [3] 14.5 km (7:27 / km)
shoes: x-talon 212

aussie long champs
had a good clean run with only 1 mistake, starting out steadily but lost ~4minutes on 14 with route choice foolishness. thought i lost time on 5 but that was ok. happy with the splits in general though, getting a few red and blue splits late in the course.

orienteering race 17:00 [5] 3.4 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: x-talon 212

aus sprint champs.
was quite hesitant in the rocks and struggled to read the map well so had some pretty bad lines getting caught in bad terrain often but went hard when i could in the town. second best aussie though so can't complain, one of my better results in non-urban sprints too.

awesome map though, have never returned from a race with sea weed and algae on my shoes.

cruisey jog around st. Helens point with the original Oscar. up onto the sand dunes, real nice up there, definitely mapable, but apparently they're shifting?
