POM Day 4 - Long Race - M21E - Cidral
Similar to yesterday, a bit stop start and enough 'rest' on the rocky areas to be able to run hard when open. Last 20mins were hard but quite pleased with stamina after 4 races.
----------
Strange race as I was actually navigating quite well again, even when racing head to head but made 2 big mistakes. Started 5mins ahead of mass start (~50 runners) and was clean thought a flatter open first loop catching a couple of others. The 'pack' started to catch me in the butterflies which went well apart from c10. The other big mistake was in the same area as yesterday in the big rocks. Racing a Spanish guy here and luckily got away and pulled out the minute I needed to stay ahead of him overall.
Mistakes ~12:00 mins
(10)(06:00) Only real howler of the week, contoured staying too high with 2/3 other guys and was way off line.
(23)(06:00) Lost contact near the end of a long leg, downhill slope again wrong re-entrant.
