Orienteering race 1:24:34 [4] 8.4 mi (10:04 / mi)

Us long champs, red. Morgan Territory.
Hot, steep and generally gorgeous again. 6 mins down on the winner today, having visited all the controls in the right order. Thought it was a pretty decent run, but quite easy and the younger legs (i.e. everyone else) might have helped - kept a steady pace but quite weak in the terrain.

Bit freaked by the amount of poison oak I ran though. Hope its OK.

Fastest "M35" which was nice, in with the young ones (W35 champion = Sharon Crawford).

Orienteering race 37:03 [4] 4.4 mi (8:25 / mi)

US middle champs. Went from 11-13 and lost 4 mins sorting it out. Ooops.
Otherwise pretty clean, splits show ac oupl of 10 sec.
The area, Morgan Territory, was absolutely gorgeous. Grassy hills with technical rock detail in patches. Warm, dry , sunny day.

Amended Monday. Beautiful day on the Braids, if a little weary-legged.

Sunday Mar 13, 2016 #

Orienteering race 55:37 [3] 6.0 mi (9:16 / mi)

CScup heat, Dumyat. Thought I'd better support the team, but lots of the course was in the steep woods, includng several downclimbs which were quite beyond me, leading to painful tumbles. Added to being unable to read the map because they decided to cross it out with a green pen. GG said I'd need the bracken screen in the summer, not sure how long he expected me to be out. Then to add insult to injury, got DQed for a mp.

Need to be more realistic about picking areas in future.

Running 10:00 [1] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

Some warm up and down
