Rocked up early to have a crack at the lap set by john. i had it in my head that 26min was the time to beat so i headed off kn the hardtail trying to keep maximum speed whilst holding a good line. caught up with a rider and was held up for a section before he finally let me past. jumped most of the jumps cleanly and had to keep forcing myself to pick up speed. it seemed forever the end so i had no idea how my time would hold off. managed to beat john's time by a second. not bad for my second lap around and first solo

Went riding with jen and the rest of the esperance riding crew. some clown turned up on a mtb when everyone else was on carbon road bikes. pace was comfortable into the strong north easter. mtb man even had to close gaps when they appeared to ensure the group didnt split. the same mtber even had the audacity to launch an attack on the first hill climb and finished second. meanwhile when we turned onto myrup rd the wind became a tail wind and the pace shot upto 44km/hr. the mtber was hardcore as he went to the front and even did a stint to show he could ride. i cracked at the 48km mark heading back into the wind at 37km/hr. good ride!!

Gave my knee its first test since monday's fall. Managed to jog/run for 25min without to much issue.

1hr training with Kristy was a killer 2night with 200 pushups trhoughout the set and 80 shoulder presses with 14kg weights.

circuit between rowing, weights and spin bike. Had to modify some of the training to avoid loading the right knee.

Ride was going well until after tonkin hwy when i decided to stand up and sprint a bit so i dropped the rear gear down one to help the loading. Unfortunately at the same time i stood up the front chainring dropped the chain throwing my weight forward and over the bars. The handlebars turned violently left and i had to make a choice to either bite the bitumen or bite a patch of dirt above the square kerb. I took the second option and took the hit down my left side. Grazed a fair bit down my left arm and little finger. Luckily i wore my baggy shorts so the grazing on the hip was less than my arm.

Totally at a loss how the crash happened especially on such a straight bit of road and just a pissy commute.

The aim was to do a rowing class before the main gym session commenced. Did the session to the best of my ability considering how sore my left arm was and my right knee.

Again i avoided any running due to right knee. Did situps instead of the plank as well. Suspect i am going to be fairly sore tmoro. 50/50 chance of making the ride in the morning.
