ahr:17 max:185 shoes: Asics Kayano 15

After laying floorboards at a clients house i rushed down to UWA to have a run. Very sore aand stiff from squatting all morning so wasnt looking forward to it. The food intake today was not enough to have a good run but i managed a quick skull of some sprite before hand to help.

Managed to tie with my brother so that keeps me 1 up at this stage. Had to work my ass off in the finish chute but somehow managed the punch of the season!!

What a ride this morning. Group of 8 and good solid pace through to Mt Henry before the guys kept going through to shelley. I dropped off and took freeway footpath option back to Perth. Sat on pretty much 40km/hr on way back with no one overtaking me but had a draftee from canning bridge to narrows. He pulled up beside me near mill pt road and said i must be a fit bugger and asked if i was doing freeway ride on sun. I said no as i am going for a run in the bush! Got a weird look :-)

Saw something really odd on mts bay rd with a cop 4wd facing oncoming traffic near old brewery and the cops individually checking each cars as they went past. Thought that was odd until i got back to subi and had to stop at 2 green lights to watch a cop car going flying through.

Turns out that a certain character from yesterday decided to leave police custody from hospital this morning. Scotch went into lockdown as he was seen nearby!!

Ran with Al this arvo. Had stitch for first 2km then settled down. Was holding good pace until Al had to stop and fix shoelace. We continued through to about the 4km mark where he brokedown with hip injury and i pushed on to set new pb on that course i suspect.

Road Cycling (Floreat) 1:24:00 [4] 43.5 km (1:56 / km)
shoes: Giant TCR 2

Lead the group with good old George to Swanbourne today. Strong south wester made it very challenging early on today. An unsual change to the strong easterly we are all used to. Changed lead with george a couple of times through to the cop shop when 2 others came past and cranked it up through to port beach. Came through second in intermediate sprint. Somehow lead the group again through to mccabe st and then hung on to get over col de water tower.

Was with Ray and the royal flying doctor when a car pulled out in front of us near the bowling club. We swung right thinking it was going to go down our road but at 15km/hr it decided to continue right across our path into the bowling club carpark. All three of us had to take evasive action and all i thought was not twice in 5 days.

Rode to CCGS. Sat there for close to 5min as noone wanted to lead out so again i took off. Apparently i took off to quick as one of the guys rode up beside me and told me to drop the pace as the other guys had fallen off (oops) Lead through to sunset hospital before the pace cranked up and i took shelter.

Good ride this morning

ahr:170 max:186 slept:7.0 shoes: Asics Tribucoo 2008

Good fun to be out in the bush again. Not so good was the heat factor. Gave Tooms a 2 minute head start after emptying the tank for a good run. Caught sight of him into 6 and then saw him again at 7. Overtook him onto 8 but a semi buried fence caused me to lose 20 secs or so undoing myself after falling flat on my face. Watched Erin run off towards 10 as i lead Tooms into 9. Tooms caught me again after i hit 10 coudlnt see the tape and relocated off a bare rock. We both spent some time hunting but eventually came across it.

Enjoyed the run and only slightly rolled my left ankle on the way to 10 considering i forgot my braces.
