old but not older guy course
ran as hard as I could when I wanted to and still could not go fast enough to win. less than 2 minutes errors only gets me within a minute of SV. no complaints, just sayin.

intense racing today. good warmup and mental prep. some strides and brain stretches a good 30 minutes before the start and then a GU to follow. felt the maltodextrin kick in about the second timed control and - yes I nailed it. things were going smooth up until the 6th control and then i suddenly experienced a caffeine lapse and missed some key data. capital mistake man. totally under estimated the difficulty of this one. it was as if the entire slope slid down a contour. well, I pushed on and tried to forget about numero devet and completed the course in record time. crossed the line, fist pump in the air, points to the sponsor. you know, pretty much know I have this thing won.
well apparently I was wrong about no.9 (one flag on a contour). after some discussion the course setter and I have agreed to disagree and that means Eric wins. no matter, it was good training for Norway.
