Lots of yard cleaning this week - we got a cheap dumpster from the town for spring fire control cleanup. So far it's half a six yard dumpster of pine needles and one dead bush. Haven't started on the deadfall.
A pleasantly hot week of 70s melted lots of snow, so you can get around the whole glenshire loop dry now, though with lots of stream jumping. Fortunately we're supposed to get another foot this weekend.

Up around the top of the mountain. Sounds like the big groomer is done for the year, the last snowbridge between the XC and downhill areas (where the groomer sleeps for the summer) is about to collapse, so if they didn't drive it back soon they'd have to rent a flatbed to haul it back over to the shop. Its unclear if that's it for the year or if they're going to keep going with the snowmobile+ginzu for a while.
Just in case you want to know what sort of terrible conditions we have to suffer through out here to get some May skiing, here's the top of the mountain today, which was nice and solid with an inch of soft corn on top. And here's the hut that's about a third of the way up the mountain, which has melted out to below the windows, but note that the whole thing is also on 6' stilts.
