mtb-o race 55:13 [3] 12.07 km (13.1 kph) +323m

woot mtb-o in Glenshire from our house. map1, map2. It was a quite nice sunny day out in the morning when I set controls, and then still when the neighborhood kids all went out. Then when Anna, Jonis and I went to race after lunch it immediately started dumping windy wet snow. All of us came back with nonmoving fingers and totally numb feet. Still awesome.

orienteering 1:11:41 [3] 11.01 km (6:31 / km) +254m 5:50 / km

Running the course for tomorrow, partly to check out the map a bit (as its never been actually field checked in the field, only by gps watches and aerials), and partly to just run through the woods a bit. Some very nice sections of woods, with a few bonus features here and there that are worth mapping.

ski-erg 20:00 [3] 4.5 km (4:27 / km)

In case anyone isn't up on their IOF rule updates, looks like they just changed the rules to say gps watches now default to being legal, unless they're banned per race.

Hike with Carol up Verdi peak, which is just north of us a bit. Cool views down the canyon to Reno. All on fire roads, with a bunch of atv and dirt bike traffic, but nothing too bad.
