Canadian champs middle. Super fun, the terrain and course were as middley as middles should be. No big mistakes, had a few slightly-off errors here and there, but nothing exciting.

In Whistler this weekend for Canadian champs. Busted up my big-foot-toe-joint Wednesday night by kicking a rock on the trail somewhere, and it swelled up all nice and pretty yesterday. Felt a bit better this morning, so I went out tonight for an easy jog to loosen it up a little. More or less works, though I have to run funny which will probably hurt that knee.

Thunderstorms during the afternoon knocked out our power, so I didn't print maps, we were just copying over top of random old maps I found. My map was from the night-o here last November, and while setting I ran by a couple of extra circles just for fun. They both had flags at them, then I remembered we never picked the flags up from that day (they were quickly buried in snow and all). So I reran that course and grabbed all those.

road bike 1:59:57 [3] 30.21 mi (15.1 mph) +561m

Finally declared the road bike knee healthy enough to start on the big hills, so I went for a loop down around the lake, through town to the airport, and back up alder creek. Everything felt ok, except for the expected haven't-ridden-hills-in-a-year feeling.
